Perfect product for damping the firewall 5mm Multi layer features a reinforced but soft composite-bitumen layer that increases overall mass and stiffness to kill resonant frequencies in sheet metal. This  Multi layer material is designed to look and feel like original car manufacturer material but the mastic layer provides much better resonance deadening and superior gluing properties. The bitumen and mastic base materials when combined into layers provide a series of advantages. The high mass and damping factor combats vibrations in the metal panels, while the flexibility increases convenience of installation. The sealed properties of the mastic layer also prevents water ingress and protects the car bodywork from corrosion.
