High-Definition 3.5″ Roof-Mount LCD Color Monitor The SecurView™ SV-8400.RM is a one-of-a-kind roof mount LCD monitor in our SecurView™ product line. Instead of traditionally mounting to the dash board or windshield, the SV-8400.RM has a special flat plate mount bracket that allows it to be mounted to the headliner of the vehicle. The monitor can be push up and snapped into a closed position and lowered down into the open position and swiveled 90° side to side to give the driver a better view of the monitor.

Description
of-a-kind roof-mount style monitor that is designed specifically to mounted to the headliner or even the windshield on vehicles with very limited dash board space. The SV-8400.RM has a 3.5″ HD screen to give the driver a crystal clear image and a single video input for a reverse camera or external video source.
The vehicle ignition is cycled on, the SV-8400.RM will power on and display the primary video input. The monitor will automatically switch to the reverse camera input when the vehicle is shifted into reverse so the driver can see what’s going on behind the vehicle when backing up. When the vehicle is shifted back into drive, the primary video source will automatically switch back on to view the primary camera or alternate external video source. The monitor can easily be turned off by pressing the power button on the side of the screen or the driver can simply fold the screen up into the closed position if they don’t wish to see the screen any longer.
The SV-8400.RM has a variety of controls to give the driver a better view of the camera and an overall better picture on the screen. These controls include manual brightness and dimming adjustments as well as normal/reverse image switching all controlled by a series of switches on the side of the screen. The monitor itself can be mounted the normal way on the headliner where the screen will fold up into closed position and then flipped down to view the monitor (Similar to a factory overhead DVD player). The screen can be actually be turned side to side a full 180° to give the driver a better look as he screen as well. This way, the monitor base does not need to be mounted pointed straight at the driver. This is also a benefit to using the monitor as a windshield mount; with the screen folded down in viewing position, it can be turned 180° and then folded back up into the closed position almost giving the appearance of a flush-mounted monitor against the windshield. This type of mounting style can be used if the vehicle has very limited mounted space on both the dash board and the headliner.
The SV-8400.RM can be used with any of the SecurView™ or PlateCam™ cameras or any other camera that uses an RCA cable video connection. There are two video inputs to support two different cameras or one camera and an external DVD player.
