Description

The CA-5020 is a front and rear parking assist combo system with an LED dash mountable display. This system comes with (8) high frequency ultra-sonic impact warning sensors but can be used with as few as (4). The rear sensors are triggered by placing the vehicle into reverse, while the front sensors are activated by the brake switch but only when the vehicle is not in reverse. The front sensors have an effective range of up to 3.5 feet and the rears will work up to 8 feet away.
The dash mountable LED display offers detailed icons to let you know how close you are getting to an object in front or behind. The small size of the display allows it to be mounted virtually anywhere on the dash. The display will show a numeric distance, a matrix layout showing the detection range of all (8) sensors, a voice alert icon and a damaged sensor icon. The built-in warning chime has an adjustable volume setting on the top side of the display and there is also a button to select whether you want voice alerts to be on or off as well.
The system offers a self-test function that will auto-detect how many sensors are being used and will automatically adjust the width the sensors read to accommodate the number of sensors being used. Another feature this system includes is the “Intelligent Detection” which will allow it to not give a false alert due to having a towing hitch, bike rack or spare tire rack on the rear of the vehicle. This feature works the same on the front if you have anything mounted on there as well. . The (8) sensors are waterproof and can be painted to match the vehicle, just be sure that the paint is not metalized and is only in a light coat. Metalized or heavily painted sensors could cause false alerts. The system does come with the hole saw needed to properly install the sensors into your vehicle.
