The same thing applies to the right and left side video signals, when the turn signals are applied, the right or left side video source will take over on the screen to give the driver a better view down the side of the vehicle. When the turn is complete and the signal is off, the quad screen will return. The SV-8911.QM.DVR will auto detect how many video inputs are being used; If you have only two cameras plugged in, the screen will be split. If you have only three cameras plugged in, the screen will be split into three sections with the forward camera being the bigger primary section. The SV-8911.QM.DVR will also allow the driver to switch back and forth between video inputs by using the input selection buttons on the front of the monitor. This way if the driver wants to looks a certain camera, they can simply press the desired video channel button and that camera will take over on the screen.

The built-in DVR system will record from all of the cameras when the ignition is powered on. All recordings are stored onto a 32GB SD card that is stored in a small compartment on the back side of the monitor. The recordings are split into individual files on the SD card. To make the files easier to navigate through, the time and date can be set from the monitor and the DVR system will label each recorded file with the time and date of the recorded event. The time and date will also be displayed on-screen during recording. Different recording times can also be set through the system’s menu and recording times can be set between three, five, seven or ten minute recording intervals. Video files can be played back on-screen using the system’s included remote or the SD card can be retrieved from the system and files can be viewed using your desktop or laptop computer.

The SV-8911.QM.DVR comes with a variety of menu selection options to give the driver full control of the picture quality as well as the sounds. The driver will have full control over the brightness, contrast and dimming settings as well as volume and muting functions for the built in speaker. The on-screen image can be mirrored as well as rotated vertically so that if you need to mount a camera in a difficult location on the vehicle and the camera will not mirror the image, the monitor will take of it for you. The rotation feature will allow you to mount the camera in virtually any position on the vehicle and you will still be able the view the image the way you want it on screen. To top it all off, SV-8911.QM.DVR has over five different language settings (English, Spanish, French, etc.) and a fully function remote is included to help navigate the menus.
